Overview
This role sits on a Manager Research team within the Chief Investment Office, supporting sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring third-party investment managers across asset classes for high net worth and institutional clients.
Focus areas include:
- Listed fixed income managers (core, core plus, high yield, and global strategies)
- Private credit (direct lending, opportunistic credit, and specialty finance)
- Other diversifying assets (including infrastructure and hedge funds)
Responsibilities
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence on fixed income, private credit, and diversifying asset managers.
- Source new managers and strategies and prepare written recommendations for internal stakeholders.
- Analyze performance, risk, holdings, and organizational factors using internal and external research tools.
- Participate in manager meetings, ongoing monitoring, and periodic review processes.
- Contribute to asset class reviews, market mapping, and thematic research initiatives.
- Support portfolio construction discussions, risk assessments, and internal model oversight.
- Communicate investment insights clearly to colleagues across the firm.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in investment management, consulting, or investment research.
- Experience or strong interest in fixed income, private credit, alternatives, or diversifying asset strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, or a related field (recommended).
- Progress toward the CFA charter or a similar professional designation is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and investment databases such as Bloomberg or FactSet.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $71,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually.
- Placement within the pay range may differ based upon skills, experience, and geographic location.
- Eligibility for incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
