Overview
A financial services firm specializing in integrated financial care for physician families across California and several other U.S. states is seeking a licensed CPA to lead the development of an in-house tax and bill pay practice. This role offers the opportunity to build a premium, client-focused practice with an existing client base and support from a global team of client service associates.
Responsibilities
- Provide bill pay services for elder and high-net-worth client families
- Prepare straightforward personal tax returns, primarily for W-2 households
- Shape the growth and operational management of the tax and bill pay practice, including managing seasonal fluctuations
- Collaborate with other team leaders to design and implement repeatable systems that integrate with existing processes
- Assist clients in maintaining organized and decision-ready financial records
- Guide clients on entity-related financial questions
- Contribute a tax-informed perspective to financial planning discussions
- Serve as a trusted resource for clients on relevant financial details
Requirements
- Licensed CPA in good standing
- Significant experience in tax preparation with some exposure to bookkeeping
- Interest in designing and shaping a practice rather than inheriting an established one
- Strong communication skills with a warm, client-focused approach
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across time zones
- Interest in or willingness to learn deeply about the physician niche
