Lead Financial Analyst

Overview

This role supports financial reporting and analytics for the organization. An experienced and analytical Lead Finance Analyst is needed to prepare management reporting, perform variance and trend analysis, and convert financial data into actionable insights for business leaders.

This position may be based in Palo Alto, CA or offered as remote work within the US.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain weekly/monthly financial reports, management reports, and performance dashboards.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Use advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (macros, pivot tables, nested formulas, and charts) to analyze and present financial data.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
• Prepare financial presentations and communicate key insights to management and business stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and analyze financial information.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
• Ensure financial data is accurate, timely, and presented clearly and in an actionable format.
• Own assigned financial analysis and reporting projects end-to-end (start to finish).

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in financial reporting and financial analytics.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel (macros, pivot tables, nested formulas).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate financial insights to management and stakeholders.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and presenting management reporting.
• Preferred time zone: CST.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay (by location)

• Colorado: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually
• New Jersey: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually
• Delaware: $97,000.00 - $161,000.00 annually
• Washington, DC metropolitan area: $107,000.00 - $178,000.00 annually
• California: $111,000.00 - $185,000.00 annually

For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges, and ranges may vary by location.
