Manager, Cost Accounting and Integration
Overview
This role involves working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment requiring immediate results in cost accounting. The successful candidate will serve as a critical link between legacy data from acquired entities and the corporate standard costing methodology. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and reverse engineer diverse accounting and costing methodologies from acquired companies to normalize data for corporate integration.
- Take ownership of the master inventory listing and maintain data integrity.
- Support year-end audits related to inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS), ensuring flawless documentation for all accounting entries.
- Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counting across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure financial data integrity during the migration of legacy systems to the main ERP.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on cost accounting experience.
- Expertise in standard versus actual costing and variance analysis.
- Proven ability to identify gaps and implement solutions within the first 30–60 days.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
- Comfortable working with complex and inconsistent data sets from multiple systems.
- Ability to thrive under heavy workloads and meet aggressive deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $130,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience.
