Manager, Program Cost Controls

Overview

Remote finance leadership opportunity supporting an internal wideband program. This position involves partnering with program teams and leadership to influence program financial performance, drive forecasting and reporting, and support compliance and Earned Value Management.

Work schedule should accommodate Eastern time zone hours, as many internal customers are based in that time zone.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts and collaborate closely with program teams to influence financial aspects of programs, including:
  • Financial forecasting and reporting
  • Earned Value Management and compliance
  • Estimates at Completion (EACs)
• Support program financial reviews with management.
• Interface with Program Managers, lead engineers, and cross-functional organizations including Contracts, Accounting, Supply Chain, and all levels of leadership.
• Develop talent within the team by:
  • Training early-career analysts in tools, processes, and general business acumen
  • Mentoring advanced analysts on career next-steps and opportunities within their current role to expand knowledge and skillsets
• Communicate effectively with multiple levels of management and make recommendations for appropriate solutions.
• Contribute to a fast-paced finance team emphasizing strategic thinking, multitasking, and individual initiative.
• Provide support for ad hoc data reporting.
• Participate in senior-level projects and product-line initiatives.

Requirements

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
• Experience with Microsoft Excel functions (Pivot Tables, Lookups) and Microsoft Office Suite of tools
• Professional experience in Program Controls with data analysis, reporting and/or process improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with APEX EV (SAP) and working knowledge of the SAP functions
• Experience with PMX Tool systems
• Experience with applied EVMS principles, including Raytheon EVMS Certification
• Understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
• Financial controls experience relative to multiple contract type
• Experience with Raytheon financial and accounting policies and procedures, including:
  • Estimate at Completes (EACs)
  • EDIT+
  • Experience with RPlan or other financial forecasting tools
• Experience with external reporting and customer interactions (IPMDAR, CFSR, CSDR, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD

Incentive compensation may be available depending on level and whether the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement; payments are not guaranteed.

Location

United States (US-MA-REMOTE). Remote role; employees work primarily offsite (from home) with potential travel to the site location as needed.
