Overview
This is a fully remote role with a focus on maintaining and optimizing the systems, data, and processes that support the organization’s philanthropic and financial operations.
This position helps ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant donation processing and data management—supporting effective donor relationship management and financial workflows.
Responsibilities
- Process donations from various sources, including partner organizations, direct mail, web forms, telemarketing, payroll deductions, and fund drives.
- Manage monthly sustainer adjustments.
- Reconcile and resolve payment declines and discrepancies.
- Maintain and update CRM database records with high accuracy.
- Fulfill internal requests from multiple departments.
- Research and resolve data and error issues promptly.
- Follow and improve standard operating procedures to enhance workflows.
- Assist with data cleanup and process improvement projects.
- Perform additional tasks supporting team objectives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in gift/payment processing, database management, data entry, or related operations.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Suite, spreadsheets, and operational tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities in a remote work setting.
- Adaptability to new systems and evolving processes.
- Clear communication skills and a customer-service orientation.
- Ability to maintain focus and accuracy during repetitive tasks.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Payment processing experience in high-volume environments.
- Familiarity with nonprofit giving and related financial practices.
- Exposure to bookkeeping or accounting.
- Interest in public media.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $22.50 to $26.00 per hour, determined by experience and education.
