Overview
This role involves ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payments and related financial activities within a fast-paced environment. The Payments Compliance Analyst will evaluate fraud concerns, collect documentation to clear false positive exceptions, and mitigate risk. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with security holders via email and phone to resolve user/account validation flags
- Evaluate exception materials to address fraud concerns and validation issues
- Prepare and send reports to bank partners for security holders opting to split payments
- Complete daily bank reconciliation reports and identify solutions for exception items
- Prepare monthly internal account reconciliation reports and manage fee sweeping for wire and check fees
- Serve as the primary contact between internal teams, external customers, and banking partners regarding delayed funds
- Collaborate with internal teams to process transfers of interest promptly
- Take ownership of individual transactions and respond to inquiries from security holders and colleagues
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer experience, reduce operational risk, and improve efficiency
- Maintain a flexible schedule based on deal speed and client needs, including occasional evening or weekend hours
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or 2-5 years of related business experience in operations or production services, preferably in financial services
- Experience handling discrepancies and resolving variances related to bank reconciliation
- Clear and effective communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong project management skills, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information (PII)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple transactions simultaneously

Physical Requirements and Special Demands
- Availability to work a non-traditional schedule, including occasional nights and weekends
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship

- Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience

Location
This position is either hybrid based in Denver, Colorado, or fully remote within the Continental United States.
