Overview
A financial services technology organization specializing in complex merger and acquisition (M&A) and loan agency transactions is seeking a Payments Manager. Since 2007, the organization has supported over 10,000 deals valued at more than $1.7 trillion by providing integrated services such as virtual data rooms, document solicitation, escrow and payment administration, shareholder representation, and loan-agency functions. These services combine human expertise with technology to streamline transaction processes.
Responsibilities
- Approve daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in compliance with standards
- Prepare monthly reconciliation reports for senior leadership
- Define and monitor controls for record review processes
- Ensure timely review of records to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and manage follow-ups
- Conduct secondary reviews to approve clearance of identified deficiencies
- Review and approve payment instructions or identify issues requiring follow-up
- Facilitate completion of interest transfers
- Schedule and prepare system records for bank processing
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss performance and career development
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1-3 years of operational management experience with direct supervisory responsibilities preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in banking or financial services preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training
- Proven ability to manage multiple detail-oriented tasks in a busy environment
- Strong problem-solving skills in situations with limited standardization
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with and ability to train staff on CRM systems such as NetSuite
- FINRA Series 99 Operations Professional license or ability to obtain within one year of hire
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $95,000 to $105,000 depending on experience
