Payroll Dayforce System Implementation Lead

Overview

A leading organization is seeking a Payroll Dayforce System Implementation Lead (Senior Manager) for a 12+ month contract role. The position is preferred to be based in San Francisco, CA, with remote work options available. Travel to San Francisco will be required as needed, with travel expenses covered by the consultant. Local candidates only.

Responsibilities

• Lead global payroll transformation and Dayforce implementation initiatives
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and parallel testing for U.S. and Canada payroll systems
• Oversee Australia payroll implementation including testing, validation, cutover, and go-live activities
• Support payroll integrations in collaboration with IT and technical teams
• Validate and migrate payroll data from legacy systems
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Benefits teams, and external vendors
• Drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and manage change throughout the payroll transformation

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of payroll experience, including at least 6 years in leadership roles
• Strong expertise in payroll for U.S., Canada, and Australia
• Hands-on experience with Dayforce implementation
• Deep knowledge of Payroll and HRMS systems
• Proven experience leading payroll transformation projects
• Strong understanding of RSUs, ESPP, and stock payroll processes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other payroll certification
• Experience with Dayforce, UKG, ADP, and Workday systems
• Background in global payroll operations and system integrations
