Overview

This role involves serving as a Principal Analyst and Finance AI Expert, responsible for delivering actionable insights and thought leadership to senior finance executives, particularly CFOs, on AI and finance transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply a proven methodology to identify world-class insights addressing complex business and AI challenges.
  • Develop impactful, timely, objective, and trusted insights for advanced CFOs and senior finance leaders.
  • Translate cutting-edge insights into practical teachings that help finance leaders advance AI initiatives and transform finance functions.
  • Create prose, graphics, and presentation content with engaging storylines to influence senior finance executives' strategic approaches.
  • Contribute ideas that advance colleagues' thinking on solving critical finance challenges.
  • Conduct research interviews with senior finance executives to identify shared challenges, test hypotheses, and provide in-the-moment teaching.
  • Continuously deepen expertise in finance and AI to develop thought leadership within the finance analyst team.
  • Engage with senior finance leaders to help solve complex challenges and improve business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for exploring uncharted conceptual areas where existing models or frameworks may not exist.
  • Willingness to dive deep into finance and AI content areas to develop expertise and distill key findings.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, restructure, and create original insights from qualitative and/or quantitative data.
  • Openness to sharing ideas subject to respectful critique and intellectual debate.
  • Receptivity to constructive feedback and ability to thrive in a highly iterative environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to precision and logical organization.
  • High aspiration for continuous learning and independent exploration of new ideas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree in fields such as Sociology, History, Philosophy, Literature, MBA, or related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of experience in research and producing client-ready insights.
  • Academic background or professional experience in or with corporate finance.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools professionally or personally, with a strong willingness to experiment and stay current with emerging AI capabilities.
  • Understanding of how technology, business trends, and macroeconomic shifts impact enterprises and leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base salary range: $84,000 - $112,000 USD, with actual salary dependent on education, experience, and location.
  • Participation in an annual bonus plan or role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
