Role Overview
The Principal Business Analyst for Portfolio Management leads analytics, modeling, reporting, and strategic recommendations related to customer engagement and risk management programs. The role designs and optimizes strategies for product offerings such as multicard and rewards upgrades to improve customer experience and business performance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and refine underwriting and pricing strategies for multicard and line-extension products
- Develop and test strategies to increase engagement through rewards upgrades and purchase incentives
- Collaborate with risk, data science, and engineering teams to implement strategies
- Monitor model outputs versus business realities and investigate discrepancies
Requirements
- 2–5 years of analytical experience, ideally in credit, lending, or line-extension strategies
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end problem solving from hypothesis framing to stakeholder recommendation
- Proficiency in SQL and Python; Tableau experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
- Experience with credit cards or consumer lending products preferred
- Experience developing or maintaining risk models at scale preferred
- Familiarity with rewards or engagement programs preferred
- Experience using AI coding assistants preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Target starting base salary range: $118,000 - $135,000
- Additional compensation available through annual incentive program and equity
