Overview
This role involves joining a private capital ecosystem as a Certified Contractor in Senior Analyst positions, including Lead and Analyst levels. Compensation ranges from $50 to $200 per hour, depending on Analyst Rating Score, credentials, and approvals.
Responsibilities
Approved analysts will:
- Analyze and assess private market investment opportunities for financial, operational, and strategic viability
- Review capital structures, deal terms, and projected returns
- Identify key risks, assumptions, and potential value creation opportunities
- Prepare investment memos, summaries, and recommendations for investors or sponsors
- Perform financial modeling including 3-statement models, DCF, LBO, comparable company and precedent transaction analysis, sensitivity and scenario analysis, commercial real estate underwriting, and valuation summaries
- Conduct due diligence and investment support such as Quality of Earnings analysis, commercial and operational diligence, and risk assessment
Analysts only perform work in categories for which they have received approval through assessment and performance.
Requirements
To qualify, candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- Score 70% or higher in at least one category of the Analyst Certification Assessment
- Complete approved financial training
- Hold an active professional credential such as CFA, CPA, Series 7, 63, 79, or equivalent
Certification Tiers and Pay Ranges
- Senior Analyst: Rating Score 90–100; $150–200/hour; typically ex-investment banking, private equity, venture capital, senior consulting, or development professionals with 5+ years of capital assessment and deal evaluation experience
- Lead Analyst: Rating Score 80–89; $100–150/hour; finance professionals with 3–5 years of investment evaluation, modeling, or transaction experience
- Analyst / Associate Analyst: Rating Score 60–79; $50–100/hour; entry to mid-level analysts with strong technical and analytical skills
Compensation & Deal Terms
- Analysts operate as independent contractors, not employees
- Hourly rates depend on Analyst Rating Score and approval level
- Analysts may earn up to 10% of the first $100,000 in transaction fees, with a maximum deal-based earning of $2,500 per transaction
- Payments are issued only after successful deal completion and fee collection
- Approvals may be revoked for quality or compliance issues
