Overview
This role is for a Senior Tax Manager specializing in the construction and real estate industries. The position involves leading complex tax consulting, compliance, and planning engagements, managing multiple client projects, and providing strategic tax guidance. The Senior Tax Manager will oversee teams, maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the tax practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements for construction and real estate clients, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Review federal and state income tax returns for corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
- Provide tax consulting and planning services, including technical research, analysis, and implementation of strategic tax solutions.
- Prepare and review technical tax memoranda and advise clients on complex tax matters.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted business advisor and identifying opportunities to expand services.
- Manage engagement economics, including budgeting, billing, collections, and overall profitability.
- Monitor and manage risk related to tax services and ensure compliance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with partners and leadership to support practice growth, business development, and operational excellence.
- Lead, develop, and mentor staff and managers through coaching, performance feedback, and career development initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional client service and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or LL.M. preferred.
- Active CPA license required.
- Minimum of 8 years of public accounting experience, with significant experience serving construction and real estate clients.
- Experience with real estate partnerships strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing client engagements and developing long-term client relationships.
- Strong technical tax knowledge, including tax planning, research, and compliance.
- Proven leadership, project management, and team development experience.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead complex projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $127,700.00 - $269,300.00 per year, dependent on skills, experience, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs.

Work Model
- Hybrid work model for candidates located near an office.
