Overview
This role reports to the Senior Director of Finance with a dotted line to the Regional Vice President of Operations. The Director of Financial Operations provides full financial responsibility for a growing, highly profitable regional portfolio within Surgical Care Affiliates.
Responsibilities
The Director of Financial Operations is responsible for all financial aspects of a regional portfolio of centers in Southwest Florida, including:
- Supporting consistently growing EBITDA by leading profitable top-line growth initiatives, developing new partnerships, effectively managing expenses, and supporting development process (M&A)
- Acting as a strategic business partner with the Regional Vice President of Operations to transform the regional value proposition and achieve and sustain competitive advantage
- Speaking with authority on behalf of the Regional Vice President of Operations, including representation at health system, partnership, or board meetings
- Creating, implementing, and pulling through opportunities that drive financial growth and operational performance
- Building positive relationships with key health system partners and working closely with them as a business partner
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field is required
- Minimum of five years of financial experience is required, with healthcare experience being desirable
- Ability to digest financial information, render judgment, create context, and use pattern recognition
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
- Executive presence to deliver financial results and provide financial advice with confidence
- Ability to collaborate with other support service departments (revenue cycle, legal, supply chain, development, etc.) and with Operations
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with physician partners, health system partners, and health plan partners
- Travel requirements: 25%
