Remote Interim Controller

Overview

This remote, contract Interim Controller role supports a high-growth SaaS organization during a leadership transition. The position is hands-on and will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, revenue recognition, and the month-end close process, while leading a remote accounting team.

• Fully remote
• 4–6 month contract assignment

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP
• Manage ASC 606 revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting
• Support external audits and technical accounting matters
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and internal controls
• Lead and mentor accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• SaaS industry experience required
• CPA required
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606
• Previous Controller or senior accounting leadership experience
• Experience leading audits and managing accounting teams

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite experience preferred
