Remote Revenue Accountant

Overview

This role involves managing the complete revenue recognition process for SaaS subscription and professional services revenue, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and US GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

• Review customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition
• Prepare journal entries related to revenue
• Reconcile deferred and recognized revenue accounts
• Support audit and financial reporting activities
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to maintain accurate revenue records
• Identify and implement process improvements related to revenue accounting

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite
• Advanced Excel skills
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification preferred
• Experience with SaaS business models
• Experience working in private equity-backed environments is a plus
