Overview
This role involves preparing the production of financial reports for alternative investment products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory, product-specific requirements, and internal quality standards. The position requires working within an operations team to meet deadlines for high-quality financial reporting and participating in or leading initiatives to improve operational efficiencies through scaling and automation. The role also includes interacting with various internal groups and representing the business to customers and partners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial reports for alternative investment products
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and product-specific requirements
- Maintain internal quality standards in financial reporting
- Collaborate within an operations team to meet reporting deadlines
- Lead or participate in process improvements and automation efforts
- Communicate and coordinate with internal teams, customers, and partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of financial services experience in accounting operations or administration for alternative investment products, preferably within asset management, audit firms, or custodian banks
- Knowledge of accounting and operations for alternative asset classes such as commodities, real estate, private debt, and private equity
- Experience preparing financial statements and related content for 10-K and 10-Q filings, particularly for products structured as Business Development Companies (BDCs), Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs), or Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and business partners to recommend system, process, and reporting improvements
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau
