Overview
This role involves preparing financial reports for alternative investment products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and internal standards. The position requires collaboration within an operations team to meet deadlines for high-quality financial reporting and participation in initiatives to improve operational efficiency through process automation. The role also includes interaction with various internal groups and representing the business to customers and partners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare production of financial reports for alternative investment products
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, product-specific requirements, and internal quality standards
- Collaborate within an operations team to meet reporting deadlines
- Lead or participate in operational efficiency projects to scale and automate processes
- Communicate and coordinate with internal teams and external customers or partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of financial services experience in accounting operations or administration related to alternative investment products (experience at an asset manager, audit firm, or custodian bank preferred)
- Knowledge of accounting and operations for alternative asset classes such as commodities, real estate, private debt, and private equity
- Experience preparing financial statements and related content for 10-K and 10-Q filings, particularly for products structured as Business Development Companies (BDCs), Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs), or Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)
- Ability to collaborate with staff and business partners to recommend improvements in systems, processes, and reporting
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau
