Revenue Analyst

Overview

This role supports revenue accounting as a key contributor to accurate financial reporting, including revenue and deferred revenue reporting in accordance with ASC 606. Responsibilities include preparing quarter-end analyses and deliverables, maintaining revenue reserves and disclosures, supporting new initiatives and projects, and collaborating with internal and cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting issues.

The position also involves identifying opportunities to streamline, standardize, or automate accounting activities, including evaluating practical uses of AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Perform key analyses and account reconciliations for revenue and deferred revenue related accounts on a worldwide basis.
• Prepare journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable related accounts on a worldwide basis.
• Prepare quarterly audit schedules and periodic reports to support internal and external reporting requirements.
• Implement and document accounting processes and procedures, including those required for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Support and participate in companywide projects for revenue accounting and order-to-cash cycles, including requirements gathering and UAT.
• Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, or automate accounting activities, including proactively exploring AI and emerging technologies to improve workflows, data analysis, and reporting.
• Analyze accounting implications and confirm operational support for business agreements.
• Work closely with international teams and cross-functional stakeholders to obtain information, investigate reporting discrepancies, and reconcile accounts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on revenue recognition.
• Experience with monthly and quarterly close activities, account reconciliations, problem resolution, audit schedule preparation, and working with internal or external auditors.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience analyzing large and complex data sets.
• Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies, with an interest in exploring practical applications to improve accounting processes, reporting, and productivity.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to understand and present financial data and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification.
• Experience with SAP, Business Objects, Sigma, or similar financial reporting systems.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, or system enhancement initiatives.
• Strong business acumen and ability to navigate ambiguity.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary is one part of the organization’s competitive compensation package.

• For U.S.-based roles: expected starting base salary between $76,000 and $135,520. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. The compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
• For Canada-based roles: expected starting base salary between $69,700 and $102,245. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. The compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
