Overview
A healthcare technology organization is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist (Contractor) to join their remote team. This role involves managing medical documentation review, billing, and client communications to support revenue cycle operations. The position reports to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls and emails from clients, insurance companies, and patients.
- Document all communications accurately and expediently.
- Review patient documentation for accuracy and medical necessity.
- Approve and create sales orders for shipments; verify sales order accuracy.
- Manage shipments by coordinating sales orders for delivery.
- Review completed sales orders and generate claims and/or invoices.
- Bill claims and invoices via electronic submission, paper, or credit card processing.
- Monitor and update patient billing information as needed.
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to identify risks and improve performance.
- Review sales order reports and complete additional reporting as requested by management.
- Support new and emerging business models.
- Adhere to company goals, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to maintain claims department productivity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) accounts receivable billing experience, with Medicare experience preferred.
- Experience with Brightree and Salesforce software strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay range: $31 to $50, market-driven.

- Remote position within the United States.
