Self-Employed Mortgage and Protection Advisor

Overview

This role is for a motivated and experienced Mortgage & Protection Adviser seeking the freedom and flexibility of working for yourself. The position offers the opportunity to maximise earning potential with uncapped commission.

You will work with an established financial services organization specializing in mortgage advisory services, delivering tailored mortgage solutions to individuals and families.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to discuss financial goals, assess mortgage needs, and understand protection requirements.
• Provide comprehensive advice on mortgage options, including interest rates, terms, and repayment plans, considering each client’s financial situation and preferences.
• Assess insurance and protection needs, including life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection, and other related products.
• Stay up to date with industry regulations to ensure advice is compliant under FCA regulations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing ongoing support and advice throughout the mortgage and protection journey.

Requirements

• CeMAP or equivalent and attained CAS.
• Proven experience as a Mortgage & Protection Adviser.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage products and lending criteria.
• Familiarity with protection products and the ability to discuss protection needs with clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing both mortgage and protection advice.
