Senior Accountant, AP/AR & Cash

Overview

This role owns payables, receivables, cash, and crypto end to end, including subledgers, reconciliations, collections, and the close process. Responsibilities include ensuring customers are billed correctly and pay on time, with your portion of the close completed and reconciled in the first week.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Own bill processing, including workflow with a part-time AP processor
  • Run the weekly payment run for approval
  • Perform AP reconciliation to the Bill.com aging
  • Clean up aged and negative items

• Cash & Crypto

  • Complete monthly reconciliations for every bank and wallet
  • Reconcile the Bill.com clearing account and restricted cash
  • Apply cash for wire and stablecoin receipts
  • Record related crypto journal entries
  • Manage crypto subledgers

• Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Own invoicing using billing data from FinOps
  • Perform AR tie-out
  • Post revenue recognition entries under ASC 606
  • Manage customer statements and DSO

• Purchase Orders

  • Run the purchase order process following the policy set by the Accounting Manager
  • Match POs to bills in Bill.com
  • Hold bills above the threshold that have no PO
  • Track open POs and committed spend for the close

• Collections

  • Manage collections under the receivables SLA
  • Follow up and escalate to account owners as needed
  • Maintain the reserve for balances over 60 days

• Reconciliations & Audit

  • Reconcile company cards and review transaction coding as card feeds are automated
  • Reconcile crypto accounts using statements from Treasury
  • Own audit requests for AP, AR, cash, and crypto

• Close & Operational Ownership

  • Supervise the AP processor and protect vendor master data
  • Own month-end journal entries and reconciliations across AP/expenses, AR/revenue, cash, and crypto

Requirements

• CPA or CPA track with 4–8 years across public accounting and industry
• Experience using AI tools or workflow automation (e.g., using AI to speed up reconciliations, JE prep, or reporting)
• Experience owning subledgers and reconciliations in NetSuite
• Collections experience with a direct, professional tone with customers
• Bill.com experience and multi-entity exposure
• Strong depth in crypto and stablecoin reconciliations and journal entries (core to the role)
• Revenue recognition experience under ASC 606

Preferred Qualifications

• Payments or fintech industry experience, including MTL reporting

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $110,000 - $150,000 USD
• Base salary range excludes commission (if applicable), equity, and benefits

Location

Hybrid role with office expectations for employees based in San Francisco, New York, and Bangalore hubs: work from the office at least 40% of the time (approximately two days per week). Requirements may vary slightly based on role, team, and business needs.
