Overview
This role involves managing accounting functions for a global logistics platform that connects businesses with transport services and independent drivers. The position is fully remote within the US and includes responsibility for multi-entity, multi-currency accounting operations across US and international subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations for Accounts Payable, Accrued Liabilities, Stock Compensation Expenses, and Accrued Revenue
- Review employee corporate credit card expenses for policy compliance and ensure accurate general ledger coding in accordance with IFRS
- Analyze contracts and non-standard transactions to determine appropriate accounting treatment under IFRS
- Provide transactional and general ledger support for the Brazilian operation and other international subsidiaries
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and ensure IFRS compliance
- Apply knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley to support a robust controls framework
- Support accounts receivable management, improve processes, and assist with collection activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute accounting-related tasks efficiently
- Liaise with external auditors to support accounting positions and facilitate audit processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a top-tier university
- CPA certification or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience, preferably with a public accounting background
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with complex, multi-entity data
- Working knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a global remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus due to the international scope of operations
