- Travel expenses across Europe: Manage per diems (meal allowances), mileage allowances, and comparable expense rules across countries for teams in Europe.
- Employees and freelancers across Europe: Understand (or quickly get up to speed on) Europe-wide controlling and accounting topics relevant to employees and freelancers.
- International payroll interface: Coordinate with local payroll providers and support salary payment processes.
- Cash flow: Contribute to cash flow structures and reporting, and keep them up to date.
- Process setup: Independently identify gaps and design/setup finance processes and structures in an international, growing environment.
Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in finance & accounting.
- Language: German at a fluent professional level (C1/C2), including German accounting and tax terminology; English at least B1.
- Tools and accounting knowledge: Very good DATEV skills, with a solid understanding of the chart of accounts and correct account assignment.
- Systems adaptability: Ability to quickly learn other systems (e.g., Odoo).
- Ownership: Demonstrated ability to own finance and accounting topics end-to-end without day-to-day guidance.
- Judgment under uncertainty: Comfortable working in “gray areas” and making good decisions even without complete information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed commercial vocational training or a degree with a focus on finance, accounting, or controlling.
- Understanding of how a balance sheet should be structured to be meaningful for investors, ideally through experience in a tax advisory firm or similar environment.
