Senior Accountant - Government Contracting (Remote)

Pay: $105,000 - $110,000 / year + bonus

Location: Remote (based anywhere in the US)

This role supports a large external client with project accounting across multiple entities, including 100+ active projects. You will serve as the accounting owner for assigned entities and partner with nationwide Project Managers, a Financial Analyst, and an offshore accounting team.

The position is remote and requires working either CST or EST business hours. Travel is required once per month to various client locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting for assigned entities supporting government contracting project accounting needs
• Perform GL close activities
• Produce financial statements
• Conduct financial review and analysis
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including nationwide Project Managers, a Financial Analyst, and an offshore accounting team
• Manage accounting work across multi-entity structures with significant project volume (100+ active projects)

Requirements

• 5-10 years’ experience with full cycle GL accounting, project accounting, close, and analysis through financial statement production
• Prior government contracting entity accounting experience is required (ideally in construction, IT, or manufacturing)
• Experience working for companies with numerous multi-entities and high operational complexity
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Curiosity, quick learning, and self-driven work style
