Overview

This is a remote Senior Accountant I position with occasional travel to the office for meetings and audit purposes. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations including payroll, software capitalization, property, plant & equipment (PP&E), inventory, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Execute monthly and quarterly close processes ensuring accurate and timely reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and perform fluctuation analysis.
  • Manage payroll, software capitalization, PP&E, and inventory accounting.
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits related to assigned areas.
  • Assist in developing and refining accounting processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, Tax, and business owners on policies, processes, and system improvements.
  • Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and ad hoc analyses as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Big 4 audit experience.
  • Experience with month-end close procedures is a plus.
  • Familiarity with major ERP systems such as Great Plains, SAP, or Blackline preferred.
  • Telecommunications industry experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills with the ability to convey clear and concise ideas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all management levels and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Copilot.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA certification required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually, with actual pay dependent on skills, experience, and other factors.
