The position involves owning end-to-end accounting operations and collaborating directly with FP&A, the CFO, and external auditors. It offers broad exposure across accounting, finance, and strategy, with opportunities for growth as the function scales.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly close process using Rillet, an AI-native ERP, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and flux analysis. Focus on tuning automation agents and designing workflows rather than manual data entry.

- Run payroll cycles through BambooHR, including general ledger reconciliation and accruals.
- Administer employee expense workflows on Ramp, enforcing policies and managing month-end accruals.
- Lead the automation roadmap by identifying automation opportunities, designing workflows across systems, documenting controls and audit trails, and implementing improvements.
- Maintain the equity ledger in Carta, including stock-based compensation accounting and 409A timing.
- Prepare for audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors, managing PBC lists and workpaper preparation.
- Collaborate with the Director of FP&A on forecasting, variance analysis, and SaaS metrics, with increasing involvement over time.
- Develop and document accounting policies, internal controls, and process documentation to support scaling and audit readiness.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, People, and Legal teams to ensure accurate data flow from contracts, headcount, and deals into the general ledger.

- A well-formed perspective on AI in accounting, including concrete ideas on automation, human oversight, and designing controls and audit trails in an AI-driven close.
