Overview
A leading provider of B2B accounts receivable workflow and payment software is seeking a Senior Accountant to support monthly and quarterly general ledger accounting activities in compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role involves monthly consolidation, internal management reporting, and annual external reporting with minimal oversight. The Senior Accountant will also assist with external and internal financial reporting, including preparation and filing of financial statements, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate accounting and disclosure of transactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and audit basic balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
- Prepare and audit routine journal entries to support a timely, efficient, and accurate monthly financial close
- Prepare complex account reconciliations and financial analyses
- Participate in the development of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies
- Contribute to financial goals and objectives, communicate progress, and drive financial process improvements under leader oversight
- Prepare and audit Statements of Cash Flows for domestic and international entities
- Prepare and reconcile detailed records of equity transactions, including stock issuances, stock options exercised, and stock-based compensation
- Collaborate with external partners on cross-functional processes and projects
- Provide detailed schedules and support for external audits, including preparation of audit-ready financial statements and documentation of policies
- Prepare monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, reconcile significant differences, and communicate findings to senior management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or higher
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience supporting a public company or public accounting firm
- CPA certification required
- Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for internal and external collaboration
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Technical thought leadership
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial software
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completion of tasks
- Ability to identify and resolve issues proactively and implement process improvements
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $80,000 - $115,000 annually
- Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location
