Senior Accountant - Remote (Multi-Client Environment)

Overview

This is a 100% virtual/remote role with a family-owned organization. The team is looking for a candidate with strong accounting, management, technology, and organizational skills to support small-business clients across multiple industries.

Responsibilities

• Handle general accounting tasks including AP, AR, PR, and reconciliations
• Support inventory management and related accounting processes
• Manage sales tax work, including multi-state requirements
• Work with e-commerce accounting needs
• Perform client-facing problem solving with a strong client service orientation
• Act as a decision-maker for accounting and operational needs
• Apply complex problem-solving skills to support efficient workflows and continuous improvement
• Maintain high standards of writing and professional communication

Requirements

Accounting experience

• 7+ years graduated experience in small business accounting in multiple industries, company types, and sizes
• General accounting experience (AP, AR, PR, reconciliations, etc.)
• Inventory experience
• E-commerce experience
• Sales tax / multi-state experience

Software / application / integration experience

Experience with many (or most) of the following tools:

• QuickBooks (online and desktop; multiple versions)
• Xero
• Sage / Intacct
• Zoho
• Freshbooks, Quicken, etc.
• NetSuite or other ERP system(s)
• Dext / Receipt Bank
• Expensify
• Bill.com
• Veem
• Hubdoc
• Amazon
• Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.
• Avalara, TaxJar, etc.
• Google Workspace
• Sharefile, OneDrive, Dropbox, SharePoint, etc.
• GoToMyPC
• RightNetworks / Intuit hosting
