Overview
This role involves consolidating, analyzing, and reporting on the financial performance of a business or group to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Responsibilities include financial reporting, governance, and supporting an efficient accounting function that leverages common information sources and practices to reduce costs and improve service levels.
Responsibilities
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze financial results to support financial period closing and reporting processes, providing insights and recommendations.
- Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards for assigned legal entities, businesses, or group financial information packages.
- Support preparation of journal entries, monthly/quarterly reporting packages, and financial statements, including applicable tax payments and reconciliations, in accordance with accounting rules and standards.
- Provide information and support for internal (e.g., corporate and SOX) and external audits.
- Review supporting documentation, escalate areas of concern, and make necessary amendments.
- Coordinate and execute specific activities for the implementation of strategic initiatives, including tracking metrics and milestones.
- Execute routine tasks such as service requests, transactions, and queries within relevant service level agreements.
- Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on business objectives.
- Develop knowledge related to business/group accounting requirements and standards.
- Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits, including handling escalations from other employees.
- Analyze issues and determine next steps.
- Take measured risks while applying the organization's Risk Management Framework, making sound and risk-informed decisions that align with business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Typically 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study is desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $41,714.00 - $69,000.00 annually.
- Pay type: Salaried.
- Salary may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
- Part-time salaries will be pro-rated based on hours worked.
- Total compensation may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks.
