Overview
This role supports capex controllership as a Senior Capex Finance-Project Controls Analyst, bridging Finance and construction operations. The position involves day-to-day tracking, reconciliation, and reporting required for strong capex discipline.
Responsibilities
- Own the annual capital budgeting process and ongoing CAPEX forecasting, maintaining detailed project-level forecasts for capital expenditures, commitments, accruals, and cash requirements.
- Analyze actual CAPEX versus budget and forecast, identifying variances and explaining key drivers to stakeholders.
- Serve as a finance partner to project management, construction, engineering, procurement, operations, and executive leadership.
- Develop rolling forecasts, track cost-to-date against approved budgets, and flag potential overruns, timing changes, or funding needs.
- Maintain strong financial controls around capital approvals, budgets, commitments, and change orders, ensuring adherence to CAPEX governance policies.
- Support purchase requisition, PO, and change order review to ensure submissions are accurate, properly coded, and within budget.
- Support project-level cash flow forecasting based on remaining budget, committed spend, and construction phasing.
- Deliver monthly CAPEX reporting (budget vs. commitments vs. actuals) with clear variance narratives for leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Project Controls, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, or FP&A.
- Experience in a capital-intensive environment, such as data centers, construction, infrastructure, or real estate development.
- Advanced Excel skills, with comfort handling reconciliations and high-volume transaction data.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and drive projects through completion.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 – $110,000
