Overview

A Senior Financial Analyst role is available within the Commercial Finance team, reporting to the VP of Commercial Finance. This position is remote within the US, with a preference for candidates located in the Central or Eastern Time Zones.

The role focuses on managing the operational aspects of Revenue Operations and Pricing functions in a recurring-revenue managed security services business. It involves ownership of pricing governance, forecast accuracy, revenue operations cadence, and commercial analytics, working cross-functionally with Sales Operations, business unit leaders, Sales, and Product Management.

Responsibilities

Pricing and Governance

  • Maintain discount guidelines and manage the exception case log in partnership with Sales Operations on deal desk exceptions.
  • Conduct weekly discount trend analysis, identifying exceptions and patterns for pricing and commercial leadership.
  • Support pricing for new products and offerings, including list price construction and deal economics.
  • Lead quarterly margin reassessment across the product portfolio by updating deal model costs based on actual cost changes, sales mix and trends, and external benchmarking.

Strategic Deal and Decision Support

  • Provide ad-hoc deal modeling and pricing analytics for strategic, large, or non-standard deals.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to Sales Operations, business unit leaders, Sales, and Product Management on commercial decisions.

Revenue Operations

  • Manage the weekly revenue forecast cadence for services business units, collaborating with business unit leaders to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Validate forecast submissions for consistency and accuracy, testing assumptions with business unit partners.
  • Produce monthly forecast accuracy reports with full bridge analysis explaining variances.
  • Develop and maintain bookings-to-revenue conversion analytics, including lag analysis, ramp curve modeling, and cross-business pattern detection.

Commercial Analytics

  • Lead win-loss pricing analysis and provide insights to Sales and Product Management.
  • Build pipeline conversion analytics across stages and business units.
  • Own Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) walk reporting; develop further analysis on cohort retention, customer profitability, and product profitability.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of progressive finance experience with demonstrated ownership of analytical or process work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including building models from scratch and handling large datasets.
  • Proven track record of building or improving processes beyond executing existing ones.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rotational finance development programs, Big 4 or Top 10 accounting firm transaction services or financial due diligence, strategy consulting, or commercial finance within recurring-revenue technology or services companies.
  • Background in commercial finance, FP&A, or revenue operations at recurring-revenue, SaaS, MSSP, or managed services companies.
  • Familiarity with pricing analytics, discount governance, or deal desk processes.
  • Exposure to Power BI and ability to translate Excel models into scalable reporting.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, Sage, NetSuite, or comparable ERP and CRM systems.
  • Industry experience in B2B technology, cybersecurity, or managed services.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $100,000 base
  • Bonus Target: 8%
