Overview

This role involves supporting financial planning and analysis activities within a company that provides software solutions to the automotive parts and repair industry. The position focuses on budgeting, forecasting, month-end financial reporting, and decision support to drive business performance and financial success.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close processes by reviewing financial results, resolving and explaining variances.
  • Generate monthly board and executive financial statements.
  • Publish various reports including revenue, expense, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and statistical data.
  • Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities.
  • Prepare financial outlooks for revenue, expenses, balance sheet, and cash flow in collaboration with functional Vice Presidents and executives.
  • Assist with product pricing analysis to assess profitability of revenue initiatives.
  • Act as a business partner to various teams by analyzing key business drivers and translating data into actionable insights.
  • Support integration of newly acquired companies into the financial reporting infrastructure.
  • Complete ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis requests to support ongoing business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with financial reporting systems such as Hyperion or Workday Adaptive, and strong skills in Microsoft Excel (including modeling) and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and convey complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Skilled in creating and delivering engaging presentations.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong business partnering abilities.
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and constructively, even in challenging situations.
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and able to thrive in a remote or hybrid work environment with limited in-person interaction.
  • Willingness and ability to attend virtual meetings with the laptop camera on.
