Overview
A high-growth aviation software company is seeking a motivated, analytical Financial Analyst to join their FP&A team. This role involves partnering closely with business leaders to manage financial performance, deliver data-driven insights, and support planning and forecasting activities across the revenue portfolio. It offers high visibility and direct exposure to leadership, with meaningful impact on business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own revenue portfolio reporting and forecasting; track actuals against plan and identify key drivers of variance
- Support the annual operating plan and monthly reforecasting processes in partnership with business leaders and the broader FP&A team
- Build and maintain financial models to support revenue planning, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making
- Prepare monthly variance analyses and executive-ready reporting packages to communicate performance trends and insights to leadership
- Analyze headcount costs, operating expenses, and other financial metrics, providing actionable recommendations to business partners
- Partner with the Accounting Team to support revenue accruals as part of the month-end close process
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as requested by FP&A leadership
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical finance role
- Exposure to SaaS business models and SaaS KPIs/metrics
- Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial results clearly to non-finance audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with business partners
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field
- Experience in software or technology industry
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA preferred
- Experience with Anaplan, Hyperion Essbase, or similar planning tools
- Pilot or aviation enthusiast
- Preference for candidates located in Austin, TX or Denver, CO
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $112,000 - $144,000, based on experience and qualifications
