Overview

A global transport and logistics organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the local management team with financial reporting, control, income and debt management, accounts payable, and client billing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely internal financial reports and analyses, including reviewing past and present operations, trends, costs, revenues, and obligations to project future financial outcomes
  • Report actual results and analyze variances versus plan
  • Assist operations with cost budgets, quarterly forecasts, and other financial planning activities
  • Publish periodic financial reports such as accounts payable, freight, and consumable metrics to provide visibility to department owners and leadership
  • Perform analytical reviews to identify trends and opportunities, recommending improvements to drive cost efficiencies balanced with operational needs
  • Produce cost quotes, strategic business cases, risk assessments, and other ad-hoc analyses to support the business
  • Participate in special projects including process improvements and financial tools development and implementation
  • Manage financial process improvements, key performance indicators, and tracking of strategic initiatives
  • Support internal and external financial and system audits
  • Plan, organize, and manage workload to ensure timely and accurate contribution to monthly financial reporting
  • Ensure prompt payment of invoices
  • Collect and verify accuracy of all charges and expenses for billing
  • Manage accounts payable process, coordinating purchasing and tracking vendor invoices and associated revenue accruals
  • Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, corporate submissions, expense management, budgetary support, and ad hoc analysis
  • Prepare month-end journal entries focused on cost accruals
  • Complete the monthly Client Profitability Model
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies
  • Attend meetings, document and distribute meeting minutes
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information professionally and securely
  • Create and disseminate communications and reports
  • Assist with design and development of presentations
  • Communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and others on behalf of site management
  • Schedule and meet with vendors to ensure competitive pricing
  • Collaborate with Operations team to develop budgets and forecasts for financial performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or finance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: $95,000 to $105,000 annually
  • Actual compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location
  • Benefits offerings vary by location and division in accordance with applicable laws

Location

  • USA - Virtual - Indiana
