Overview

This role serves as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Professional Services function within a global technology organization specializing in supply chain orchestration. The position provides strategic financial partnership, forward-looking analysis, and performance measurement to enable sustainable and profitable growth.

The position is remote within Canada, with a hybrid work option available for those located in Ottawa (3 days per week in office).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to Professional Services leadership, understanding revenue drivers, capacity planning, and margin dynamics.
  • Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for Professional Services, managing integrated revenue and expense models and coordinating inputs across leadership, HR, and Corporate FP&A.
  • Develop and maintain financial models focused on headcount planning, utilization, backlog-to-revenue conversion, and delivery margin scenarios.
  • Evaluate financial implications of headcount and capacity decisions including hiring plans, role mix, regional deployment, and billable vs. non-billable trade-offs.
  • Analyze financial results and operational KPIs to identify trends, variances, and key drivers supporting timely decision-making.
  • Own monthly reporting and quarterly business reviews, delivering clear, decision-oriented analysis explaining performance versus plan and highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of analytical requests, distilling complex inputs into actionable insights for senior and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present financial insights, recommendations, and scenarios in an executive-ready format.
  • Contribute to the evolution of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting standards; provide informal leadership through mentoring and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, business, or related field; CPA designation or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, finance, or related analytical roles; experience in a global technology company is an asset.
  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders across the business and build effective working relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize inputs and develop clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to diverse audiences including senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and data integrity.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and incorporation of feedback to align with stakeholder needs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience supporting business cases through cross-functional collaboration and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial planning systems such as NetSuite and Planful.

Location
