Overview
A Strategic Finance team within a growing organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support retailer partnerships by driving deal strategy, building financial models, and guiding decisions that foster mutual growth. This role involves collaborating closely with Retail Partnerships, Deal Desk, Legal, Revenue Operations, Data Science, and Accounting teams.
The position requires ownership of end-to-end financial analysis for complex commercial deals, development of scalable forecasting frameworks, and presentation of actionable insights to senior leadership. It offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment where analytical rigor and clear communication are essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive financial models for retailer partnerships, including pricing strategies, incentive structures, unit economics, and ROI analyses with scenario and sensitivity testing.
- Collaborate with Retail Partnerships and Deal Desk to translate strategic objectives into clear financial outcomes; support negotiations with data-driven recommendations and trade-off frameworks.
- Build and maintain driver-based forecasts for a portfolio of retailer deals; establish key performance indicators (KPIs), monitor performance against plans, and identify insights to improve margin and payback.
- Design and standardize scalable templates, playbooks, and dashboards to streamline diligence, approval processes, and post-close performance management.
- Prepare executive-level materials such as models, memos, and presentations that distill complex analyses into clear narratives and actionable decisions.
- Work cross-functionally with Data Science, Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Legal to ensure operational feasibility, policy compliance, and accurate financial treatment.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Strategic Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting, supporting commercial deals or growth initiatives in technology, e-commerce, marketplace, logistics, or retail sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field.
- Advanced financial modeling skills using Excel or Google Sheets, including driver-based models, cohort and retention analysis, and scenario/sensitivity analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL for self-service data analysis and experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker or Tableau.
- Proven experience evaluating or structuring commercial partnerships or contracts, including pricing, unit economics, and ROI modeling, with the ability to present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with marketplace or retailer/consumer packaged goods (CPG) partnerships and multi-sided platform economics.
- Hands-on collaboration with Sales/Partnerships and Legal teams on deal terms such as volume commitments, incentives, and performance service level agreements (SLAs).
- Familiarity with revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606) and understanding of how contract structures impact financial reporting.
- Experience building dashboards in Looker or Tableau and automating workflows using SQL or Python.
- Advanced credentials such as an MBA, CFA, or CPA.

Base Salary Ranges for U.S. Candidates
- California, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey: $152,000–$160,500 USD
- Washington: $146,000–$154,000 USD
- Oregon, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Hawaii: $140,000–$147,500 USD
- All other states: $127,000–$134,000 USD

This is a remote position with a flexible work policy allowing employees to work from home, an office, or other preferred locations while maintaining connectivity through regular in-person events.
