Overview

This role is Remote (US).

The organization is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, SaaS Retention Specialist to own renewal forecasting, analyze SaaS retention performance, and provide actionable insights to support financial planning and retention strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Renewal forecasting: Own the end-to-end renewal forecasting process. Architect and validate forecast models for churn, renewal rates, and retention outcomes with high precision. Provide forward-looking analysis to inform financial planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Retention trend analysis: Analyze retention metrics and trends for designated SaaS product lines. Deliver timely, actionable insights to Retention Analytics and Customer Retention Leaders, partnering with stakeholders across teams and management levels. Own weekly pacing updates and monthly/quarterly reviews.
  • Proactive insights: Perform deep-dive variance analysis to identify root causes behind retention performance versus targets. Anticipate key follow-up questions and proactively deliver recommendations that influence business strategies.
  • Reporting & data integrity: Reconcile retention data weekly/monthly, manage manual data adjustments, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting. Work with large, complex data sets and company databases to extract insights and optimize analytics workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience in FP&A or similar financial analysis roles in SaaS or subscription-based business models (including a deep understanding of SaaS KPIs/Metrics).
  • Expert-level financial modeling and data manipulation.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and able to handle ambiguity and high workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with comfort working with abstract concepts and fragmented data to produce actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams and departments, communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary Range: $98,000.00 - $151,000.00 (full-time equivalent)
  • Compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
