The organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst focused on SaaS retention. In this position, you will own renewal forecasting, analyze retention trends, and deliver actionable insights that inform financial planning and retention strategy.
Responsibilities
- Renewal forecasting: Own the end-to-end renewal forecasting process. Architect and validate forecast models for churn, renewal rates, and retention outcomes with high precision to support forward-looking financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Retention trend analysis: Analyze retention metrics and trends for designated SaaS product lines. Provide timely, actionable insights to Retention Analytics and Customer Retention Leaders, partnering with stakeholders across teams and management levels. Own weekly pacing updates and monthly/quarterly reviews.
- Proactive insights: Perform deep-dive variance analysis to identify root causes behind retention performance versus targets. Anticipate follow-up questions and proactively deliver recommendations that influence business strategy.
- Reporting & data integrity: Reconcile retention data on a weekly/monthly basis, manage manual data adjustments, and ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting. Work with large, complex data sets and company databases to extract meaningful findings and optimize analytics workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 5+ years’ experience in FP&A or similar financial analysis roles in SaaS or subscription-based business models, with a deep understanding of SaaS KPIs/metrics.
- Expert-level financial modeling and data manipulation.
- Exceptionally self-motivated, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious, with demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity and high workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with abstract concepts and fragmented data to produce actionable recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and departments, communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Base Salary Range: $98,000.00 - $151,000.00 (full-time equivalent)
- Compensation determined based on location, experience, and pay for employees in similar positions.
