Overview
A fully remote Senior Financial Analyst position is available, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role focuses on financial forecasting, sales performance analysis, commission calculations, and data-driven planning within a SaaS business environment. The position offers the opportunity to influence key business decisions and collaborate across finance, sales, and executive leadership teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze variances between actual performance and budget to identify root causes and business opportunities.
- Support the annual review and revision of commission plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and sales strategies; quantify commissions earned over time.
- Provide technical support for the annual planning cycle, including revenue estimation models and detailed expense planning.
- Support recurring forecasting processes for key revenue metrics such as ARR, TCV, Gross Renewal, and Net Retention using predictive analytics and scenario modeling.
- Monitor and report on churn, downsell, and upsell rates to provide insights into customer behavior and revenue retention.
- Track pipeline coverage ratios over time and deliver insights to inform capacity planning and sales enablement.
- Contribute to quota setting using historical data trends and forward-looking predictive models.
- Support strategic workforce planning and sales representative productivity modeling to inform capacity growth and hiring plans.
- Lead pricing and discounting analysis to drive strategic alignment, deal quality, and revenue optimization.
- Deliver strategic analytics and insights to support investor relations, fundraising efforts, and external reporting.
- Conduct ad hoc strategic business analyses, including benefits evaluation and employee survey results analysis.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analytics and/or forecasting.
- Experience in the Education Technology or SaaS industry.
- Familiarity with using AI technology in daily tasks.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Advanced modeling and analytical skills in Microsoft Excel.
