Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, interpreting, and identifying trends in financial and operational data. This role develops standard and ad hoc data reports used in quality reporting, performance improvement activities, and other operational reporting, while supporting organizational mission and goals and meeting applicable regulatory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Examine historical and projected financial data to support relevant financial decision-making
  • Perform financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting
  • Review and analyze financial statements and reports
  • Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports
  • Assist with imports or exports of data
  • Perform periodic audits of data sources
  • Track KPIs and prepare financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting and monthly close processes
  • Understand key business drivers and translate them into actionable reporting
  • Develop financial projections and build financial models
  • Conduct research and analysis as required
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends and operations
  • Provide financial support to other teams and participate in assigned projects
  • Provide financial guidance to clients
  • When applicable, manage financial relationships with vendors, including:
    • Financial reclassifications and adjustments to the financial baseline as a result of approved contract changes
    • Resolving questions regarding Workday cost centers
    • Reviewing and managing directly paid expenses to support streamlined invoicing processes
    • Conducting monthly invoice reviews
    • Validating savings achieved by approved gain share eligible initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines, organizational policies, and other regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or comparable discipline; or combination of post-secondary education and experience (required)
  • 3+ year of experience in financial planning and analysis or accounting (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with both capital and operating expense management
  • Healthcare experience

  • Pay range: Minimum $35.82; Maximum $55.52
