Overview

A Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis position is available for a motivated and detail-oriented professional. This role involves supporting the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, analyzing financial performance against key metrics, and providing data-driven insights to leadership to aid critical business decisions. The analyst will translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Modeling

  • Support the development of long-term financial plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process, including revenue and expense forecasting
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate potential business strategies and investments

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Track financial performance against budget and forecast, identify variances, and analyze root causes
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management, including key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Conduct analysis of business trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to support decision-making

Collaboration & Development

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide financial insights
  • Support continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration and data-driven decision making within the team

Decision Support

  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support key business initiatives, including new product launches, investments, and cost optimization efforts
  • Assist with scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to assess potential risks and opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis or related finance roles (excluding internships)
  • Experience in a finance role within the Sports, Live Events, Film, or Television industry
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Ability to understand business operations, drivers, and strategic priorities across different departments
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information to management and cross-functional partners
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuit of or completion of a relevant professional certification such as CPA or CFA is a plus
