Responsibilities

- Identify and implement opportunities to use AI, automation, and standardized tools to accelerate regulatory research, contract review, issue tracking, and memo development while maintaining judgment, documentation quality, and control rigor.
- Set and model a high standard of responsiveness, urgency, ownership, and follow-through for Deal Desk, Legal, Sales, and Revenue Operations Accounting, especially during time-sensitive deal negotiations and close periods.
- Engage early in deal cycles to separate accounting requirements from business choices, identify risks before terms are finalized, and recommend practical alternatives that enable commercial objectives while preserving compliant and scalable outcomes.
- Perform and review complex ASC 606 analyses and contract waterfalls across SaaS, usage-based, AI, hybrid cloud, professional services, reseller, and other evolving commercial models, including SSP, variable consideration, contract modifications, material rights, termination provisions, and principal-versus-agent considerations.
- Own end-to-end documentation for complex and precedent-setting EMEA matters, including technical accounting memoranda, contract assessments, calculations, consultation records, and audit evidence.
- Translate technical and regulatory conclusions into clear operating guidance for downstream teams (Legal, Revenue Operations Accounting, Order Management, Billing, IT, and the broader revenue organization).
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex EMEA revenue matters by anticipating issues, communicating emerging risks early, and driving resolution across multiple countries and time zones.
- Present complex accounting positions and recommended paths forward to senior Finance and commercial leaders, external auditors, and outside advisors, and lead related audit discussions through resolution.
- Lead, coach, and review contract revenue assessment and waterfall calculations of managers and other team members to strengthen technical judgment and consistency of execution.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close by ensuring complex EMEA transactions are assessed timely, accounting conclusions are complete, and calculations are accurate.

- Proven people leadership skills, including setting priorities, reviewing high-judgment work, coaching managers and individual contributors, and building accountability across a distributed team.
- Ability to operate independently with sound commercial and technical accounting judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to re-prioritize as new items arise.
