Overview

This role supports a business-to-business organization focused on pricing strategy, helping improve pricing decisions across large customer portfolios. The Senior Pricing Analyst manages a portfolio of hosted customer accounts and contributes to strategic pricing initiatives that support business performance, revenue growth, and profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end pricing support for bidding opportunities.
  • Develop deal strategies that balance customer needs, competitive positioning, and margin objectives.
  • Analyze pricing opportunities to improve business performance.
  • Share portfolio insights and recommendations with leadership and peers.
  • Support training and onboarding for new associates.
  • Lead or contribute to special pricing projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Identify pricing challenges and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Partner with market and sales leaders to implement pricing tools and best practices.
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance consistency and operational excellence.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve pricing performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, business analysis, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions within established pricing policies.
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Effective multi-tasking and prioritization in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools such as MS Access or similar.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience in a B2B supplier or distributor environment.
  • Knowledge of vendor deviations, rebates, or pricing programs.
  • Familiarity with pricing software like Vendavo, PROS, or Zilliant.
  • Experience with database tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, or SQL.
  • Understanding of Customer Legal Agreements/Terms.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Industry experience in office products, facility supplies, or distribution.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
