Overview

The Pricing Analyst is a key member of the Pricing Team responsible for developing customer savings strategies and driving profitability for prospective accounts. This role involves analyzing customer operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste diversion, and profit growth. Managing multiple accounts simultaneously requires critical thinking, clear communication, and effective problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses of vendor-customer relationships to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance account profitability.
- Create accurate cost and revenue projections by reviewing customer, market, and industry data.
- Design optimized waste and recycling management strategies using the organization’s products and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve service efficiency, recycling rates, and profitability.
- Build and use financial models in spreadsheet software for pricing and financial analyses.
- Proactively communicate with Sales to support revenue-generating opportunities.
- Partner with Operations and Marketplace teams to balance customer savings with company profitability.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to support negotiation of material management agreements.
- Monitor market and industry trends to ensure pricing quality and efficiency.
- Maintain data integrity by researching and updating industry data.
- Generate quarterly reports for Sales leadership with insights and recommendations.
- Support process improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of experience in an analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make timely, sound decisions despite ambiguity.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership focused on business results and quality.
- Strategic thinking with adaptability to dynamic and changing environments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for articulating findings and facilitating meetings.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $50,000–$53,000 annually (Exempt / Full-Time)
- Bonus: 5%
