Overview
The organization is seeking a Senior Program Financial Analyst to support the Persistent Surveillance Division.
This role supports the program team by partnering with program managers to define financial goals and objectives, build and maintain program budgets, and analyze performance against established baselines. Responsibilities include identifying risks and opportunities and recommending actions to improve execution.
Work location:
- Preferred: Onsite in Huntsville, AL
- Consideration: Remote candidates with directly relevant defense contracting industry experience and qualifications
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present financial forecasts, reports, and analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on financial-related elements while managing a program general ledger and monitoring program cash flow.
- Develop and drive financial forecasts, including EACs; manage subcontractors; analyze program revenue and costs.
- Support program managers in identifying programmatic risks and opportunities impacting program financials; recommend cost reductions and risk mitigation approaches.
- Own financial performance for the program, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Monthly/Quarterly forecast, and FP&A activities.
- Conduct month-end closings and perform variance/trend analyses.
- Support cash management, including inventory analysis; ensure timely submission of invoices, collections, and unbilled reductions.
- Provide financial deliverables, including:
- Estimate at Completion (EACs)
- Quarterly Financial Status Reviews (QFSR)
- Monthly and quarterly business reviews (IPR)
- Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Support pricing for on-contract growth.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline plus 8 years’ related program finance experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple contract types: FFP, FPLOE, T&M, Cost Plus, and hybrid contracts.
- Analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
- Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) milestone contracts and cash/balance sheet forecasting.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial systems including: CostPoint, Cognos, Fusion, and Insight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Manufacturing experience and experience with international business arrangements preferred.
- Experience with Capex & Inventory accounting.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
