Senior Project Finance Analyst

Overview

The organization is seeking a Senior Project Finance Analyst to join the Clinical R&D-Finance team.

This role supports biotech, medtech, and specialty pharma clients by transforming scientific ideas into new medicines, devices, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Review contract payment schedules and prepare monthly fee-for-service and pass-through invoices to send to the client for assigned projects
• Analyze contracts, including budgets and hours, to ensure appropriate setup in the financial system and to create internal tracking worksheets
• Calculate monthly contract revenue for assigned projects
• Assist Project Managers by analyzing monthly reports to track project profitability
• Attend all project-related meetings for assigned projects
• Calculate monthly backlog for assigned projects
• Support Project and Finance managers and core team members with questions, concerns, and requested analyses of projects
• Analyze change orders and incorporate them into the original contract
• Prepare cash flow and analysis to support creation of payment schedules
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• Minimum of 5 years in an accounting or finance position within a CRO required
• Experience with a revenue recognition system
• Highly detail oriented
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Good organizational skills
• Computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• East Coast preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Annualized minimum base pay: $85,000.00 USD
• Actual salary will be influenced by factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role
