Overview
This role involves leading revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606, managing close activities related to revenue, and supporting audit and process improvement initiatives. The position requires collaboration across teams and a focus on accuracy and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Lead revenue recognition including contract review, performance obligation identification, and transaction price allocation under ASC 606.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenue.
- Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses with supporting documentation.
- Support external audits by preparing audit schedules and responding to revenue-related inquiries.
- Maintain and improve revenue policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Drive process automation and scalability initiatives.
- Assist in NetSuite implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience; public accounting or SaaS experience preferred.
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Sage Intacct.
- NetSuite implementation experience is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and V-lookups.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced business environment.
