Senior Revenue Accountant

Overview

This role is responsible for day-to-day revenue and marketplace operations, monthly close procedures, and revenue accounting under ASC 606. You will support a Quote-to-Cash finance function with a high level of visibility, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to ensure revenue and related contract costs are recorded accurately and on time.

In addition to core reporting, you will drive system and process improvements and lead priority initiatives, including NetSuite integration improvements and revenue metric visualization and calculation in Sigma and Claude. You will act as a key translator between raw data and actionable insights to help ensure financial systems scale with business growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams within special projects, including automating revenue reporting and controls and visualizing key performance metrics using Sigma and Claude.
• Evaluate the accounting impact of contract restructures and modifications, ensuring appropriate treatment in NetSuite.
• Own key month-end processes, including reviewing subscription data in NetSuite and performing final fluctuation analyses by customer.
• Design, perform, and automate data reconciliations across critical system integrations; independently monitor and resolve data flow discrepancies.
• Partner with Business Applications to define and drive ongoing process improvements across the Quote-to-Cash technical stack (including Salesforce, Zone Billing, and NetSuite ARM).
• Advise Deal Desk, Strategy Ops, and FP&A on accounting matters and deal structures, including contract cancellations and issue resolution.
• Perform SSP analysis and maintain updates to revenue recognition rules and allocations as needed.
• Prepare and review audit support schedules and serve as a primary point of contact for financial audit inquiries.
• Prepare and review key revenue reports and financial metrics, including external quarterly and annual financial reporting disclosures (ARR and related metrics, RPO, and disaggregated revenue).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or public accounting.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 principles and internal controls, with the ability to apply them independently.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ARM and Salesforce.
• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong ability to break down complex problems into actionable tasks and drive them to resolution with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly for contract analysis, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
• Agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, including automating key processes via Sigma, Claude, system automation, or other AI tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA.
• Experience with Sigma, Claude, and Zone Billing.

Compensation

• Annual Base Salary Range: $87,000 – $109,000
• Actual compensation may vary based on prior experience, skills, location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
