Overview
A growing international technology company is seeking a Senior Tax Manager – US to support its expanding US business and newly formed US distribution company. This role will focus on tax advisory, governance, and oversight of outsourced compliance across indirect tax, corporate income tax, customs, and transfer pricing. The position offers the opportunity to build scalable tax processes and controls within a fast-growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for US tax-related queries from sales, logistics, finance, HR teams, and auditors
- Determine sales tax obligations and collect sales tax exemption certificates as applicable
- Register the company for sales and local taxes in new states (both indirect and direct taxes)
- Manage outsourced sales tax compliance provider to ensure timely and accurate data submission
- Oversee outsourced corporate income tax compliance provider and ensure timely data provision
- Handle tax notices and extension applications
- Monitor tax liabilities and ensure timely payments
- Identify withholding tax requirements and manage payment or recovery
- Support transfer pricing compliance and intercompany transactions related to US distribution
- Coordinate annual transfer pricing documentation with external advisers
- Review intercompany agreements and assist with transfer pricing policy implementation
- Respond to ad-hoc tax advisory requests, involving external advisers as needed
- Identify and report tax risks to senior management
- Maintain a US tax risk register
- Support quarterly and annual tax reporting under IFRS
- Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations and supporting schedules for US entities
- Reconcile tax-related balance sheet accounts and monitor uncertain tax positions
- Support ERP implementation (SAP) as required
- Drive automation initiatives and leverage AI-enabled solutions to improve tax compliance, reporting, and risk management
Requirements
- 5-8+ years of relevant US tax experience
- Strong knowledge of US indirect tax or corporate income tax, with willingness to develop expertise across broader tax areas
- Experience managing external advisers and service providers
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, MST, or equivalent qualification
- Experience working within a multinational or publicly listed company
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
- Exposure to transfer pricing, customs duty, and cross-border transactions

Location
US Remote (East Coast) with occasional travel
